The word tui, means “to push” and na means “to lift and squeeze”, which indicates that this treatment is hands-on where the acupuncturist may knead, roll or press, and rub between joints. This treatment makes an effort to open up the body’s defensive chi and helps the energy to move into all the meridians and muscles as the acupuncturist kneads through the patient’s body.
